Secret Bay
World-famous muck-diving site full of rare critters and photo subjects.
Overview
Secret Bay is a shallow, sandy inlet near Gilimanuk that has become world-famous among underwater photographers for its incredible muck diving. Despite the unassuming look above water, the bay hides an astonishing variety of rare critters — frogfish, seahorses, mimic octopus, ghost pipefish, mandarin fish and dozens of nudibranch species. Best dived at slack tide with an experienced guide. Depths stay under 15 meters, making it perfect for long, slow, photo-focused dives.
